who can children talk to. Listen

I’ve learnt to listen much better over the last couple of years, thanks to  a friend who got me involved with a Listening service in Preston.

I’ve benefitted from listening better to myself, and to others, and know the power of being listened too is truly something special. It helps us move ourselves forward. No-one is telling us what to do, or what they think we should do about something. It’s literally time for us to think, and work things out ourselves.

Listening is one of my passions. I want to share the power of listening with others. I’ve set up a social enterprise, Listen 2 Me where we run awareness and training courses to help people listen better. We work in and with workplaces, councils, charities, community groups, community cafes, schools and individuals.

I’m helping organisations set up listening services, and listening volunteers in their communities and work places. If you’d like to learn more about how listening can help your organisation, get in touch.

When was the last time you were listened to properly? How did it make you feel? Wouldn’t you like that for others too? Not everyone has someone at home who can listen to them. And sometimes having a stranger listen to you helps you think and open up much more deeply.

Get in touch if you’d like to help many more people have the experience of good listening.

I want to listen better

Thank you so much! By listening to me, you’ve helped me realise that I can do something about this. I can take control of the situation, and worrying doesn’t help anyone – least of all me. Thank you 🙂
