Pregnancy is a life-changing event, wrought with potential stressors. Is your goal to have a relaxed pregnancy? Do you remember to look after you and your bump? Do you find it easy to relax? Mentally, you are preparing for a huge responsibility. Physically, your body is now working overtime to grow and sustain a new life. Rest Pregnancy places many demands on your body, so you must increase the amount of rest you get each day. Aim for a full night’s sleep as well as short naps when needed. If your sleep is disturbed at night, try placing a pillow under your feet, if you are still sleeping on your back, or between your knees if you are sleeping on your side. Start a bedtime ritual to help yourself wind down. This could include a warm bath, reading a book, or listening to soft music.   Nap whenever you feel yourself becoming fatigued.
