A lot of guides to babies and toddlers arm you with the knowledge you need to get started in the first year or so of parenthood – to guide you through your first steps leading up to that point when your child takes theirs. But what then? Once you’ve gotten past your first year, what can you expect? As my daughter’s second birthday approaches, I’ve stopped to take a look at what’s gone on in the past year – the highs and lows, and what I guess most parents can expect from their children too.
