who can children talk to. Listen

I’ve learnt to listen much better over the last couple of years, thanks toΒ  a friend who got me involved with a Listening service in Preston. I’ve benefitted from listening better to myself, and to others.

I’ve benefitted from listening better to myself, and to others, and know the power of being listened too is truly something special. It helps us move ourselves forward. No-one is telling us what to do, or what they think we should do about something. It’s literally time for us to think, and work things out ourselves.

Listening is now one of my passions. I want to share the power of listening with others. I help run courses to help people Listen, through an organisation helping others find healing and wholeness, as a volunteer, and as part of a paid contract.

I’m wanting to share this further though, as this will only scratch the surface. I’m wanting to set up listening centres in schools, communities and in workplaces. I’m not too sure just yet how this will happen, but if you’d like to support this, I’m going to need all the skills and resources others can share to make this dream come true.

When was the last time you were listened to properly? How did it make you feel? Wouldn’t you like that for others too? Not everyone has someone at home who can listen to them. And sometimes having a stranger listen to you helps you think and open up much more deeply.

Thank you so much! By listening to me, you’ve helped me realise that I can do something about this. I can take control of the situation, and worrying doesn’t help anyone – least of all me. Thank you πŸ™‚
