My favourite things

During my walk today, which was chilly but lovely and fresh, I got thinking about my favourite things. No idea why, apart from one of my favourite things is walking in the countryside!

Life is short. Do what you love and love what you doSo, in my head, I was starting to sing, “My favourite things”, from The Sound of Music, and I started to write my own list. I guess I was spurred on by my remembering this quote from Flow and Grow they shared recently, “Life is short. Do what you love and love what you do”.

It got me thinking about what my favourite things were, and if I was doing enough of them. Do you do enough of your favourite things?

My favourite things

So, here’s what I came up with on my short walk today, in no particular order:

  • walking
  • having fun
  • cooking
  • gardening
  • laughing
  • spending time with friends
  • playing games with my family
  • going on holiday
  • visiting new places
  • cycling
  • running
  • swimming
  • helping others
  • watching other people grow in confidence
  • paddling in the sea
  • listening to music
  • going to the theatre
  • doing new things
  • being crafty & creating things
  • bringing peoples ideas to life
  • making connections between people and projects
  • helping others set up their own business
  • walking in the rain
  • walking on a beach
  • catching up with extended family

Would love to hear what your favourite things are and if you’re doing enough of them. I’ve got a few adjustments to make from today’s list making!

  1. Tracey-Jane I love you list! I’m with you on so many especially walking, being with loved ones, having fun, doing new things, laughing and cooking! There’s always another level with these right?!! 🙂

  2. Yes, there’s always another level in our lives. We often forget what we truly love doing. These simple things are definitely easy to add more of into my life, for even more fun! 😉
